Ecclesiastes 3:11 And Why God Makes Us Wait For Great Things

“You don’t have to understand the timing of your life in order to trust God, who is holding it.” ~ Rebecca Simon

Sometimes it’s easy to wonder why certain prayers take so long to unfold, or why life feels delayed in the places you hoped would bloom by now. But God is never late. His timing has never been fragile or uncertain. Every season carries purpose, even the ones that feel still, even the ones that look like nothing is happening. What feels like waiting to you may actually be God preparing something tender, something better than what you’ve been holding onto.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” And that includes you. That includes the pieces of your story that don’t make sense yet. God sees the full picture while you only see a single moment—and when the time is right, what feels hidden now will unfold with a clarity that brings peace instead of confusion. You will look back and realize the delays were not denials; they were divine protection, divine preparation.

So while you wait, don’t punish yourself for not being further along.

While you pray, let yourself believe again.

While you hope, let your heart rest in the truth that God is still at work—quietly, faithfully, beautifully.

Because in His timing—not rushed, not forced, but perfectly aligned—He makes all things beautiful.
